Pavumo

Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains how Pavumo ("we") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our website, desktop app, and related services. Using Pavumo means you agree to the handling described here — if you don't agree, please don't create an account or use the service

What we collect

Account information: the email or phone number you register with, and a salted hash of your password — we never store or have access to your password in plain text. The desktop app signs into the same account

Purchase and character information: the characters you own, your order history (order ID, amount, timestamp, payment method), and any redemption codes you've used

Companionship and usage data: so your interaction history and companionship progress survive a new device or a reinstall, we sync that in-app state to your account

Product analytics: we record basic behavior like page views and feature usage to understand what's working and what isn't. This is our own first-party analytics — we don't run third-party ad trackers

How we use it

To keep you signed in and know which characters you own

To process character purchases through Paddle, our payment provider, and to record and reconcile orders

To restore your characters and companionship data when you switch devices or reinstall the app

To understand product usage and improve the experience — we don't use this data for advertising and we don't sell it to third parties

How we store and protect it

Account data lives on our own account service, the same backend the desktop app and website both talk to — not only in your browser

Passwords are stored as salted hashes; we can't reverse them to recover your original password

We never see or store your card number or payment account credentials — Paddle, our payment provider and the Merchant of Record for all purchases, handles payment directly and only sends us a "payment successful" result

How we share information

Besides Paddle (needed to process payments) and the infrastructure providers who host our servers and send our emails, we don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party

We may disclose information when legally required to do so

Your choices

You can sign out of any browser at any time from Account Settings — this only signs that browser out and doesn't delete your account's data

If you'd like to correct or delete your personal information, or close your account, email hello@ai-sophie.com and we'll act on it once we've verified it's you

Children

Pavumo is intended for a general audience and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account without your consent, contact us and we'll help resolve it

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pavumo evolves; material changes will show a new date on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the changes
